Made to Order means you’re asking me to recreate one of the items previously sold in my shop. You choose a design you love, and I’ll make a new wallet or bag inspired by that piece. Minor changes or preferences can be added in the notes at checkout — things like a different interior colour or hardware finish — but in general, it’s a close match to the original item you selected.

Because every item is handmade and pattern placement varies, no two pieces are ever truly identical. Even a Made to Order item will have its own character, so every customer receives something unique.

Custom orders (called Design Your Own) are different. With these, every aspect of the wallet or bag can be personalized. They take longer than Made to Order pieces. More details are provided in the next section.

Design Your Own means you can customize nearly every aspect of your wallet or bag — fabrics, patterns, style, hardware, and all the finishing touches. You can choose every detail yourself, or simply pick the key exterior fabric or cork and let me suggest complementary options for the rest.

Whether you’re designing one special piece or a full batch of branded bags, cases, or wallets with your company logo (or even a favourite photo of the grandkids or your dog!), I’ve been helping customers bring their ideas to life since 2017.

Either way, you’ll end up with a piece that’s uniquely yours.

Every piece is hand made by me (Jane), including sourcing the material and hardware necessary to realize your design vision. Then your order is carefully built to ensure many years of satisfaction.

Once I know the availability of the fabrics and hardware needed to meet your design goals, I can provide you with a fairly reasonable estimation of when you will receive your custom creation. Please contact me to discuss your ideas and approximate build time. And let me know if one or more custom wallets is required for a special occasion -- I will try to ensure you have your wallet in time.

I'd hate to see you change your mind, but it can happen. And my policy is simple: If the wallet or bag is using materials not specific to you personally or your business (e.g., not a custom fabric ordered with your company logo or photo), then yes, you can cancel your order any time prior to shipment.

But if I have ordered custom fabric at your request, or your design integrates a personal memento that you provided, then I regret I cannot cancel or refund the order.

Unfortunately, shipping costs makes doing such impractical.

All fabric is sourced from quality small (local) and large retailers in Canada and the US. If you are in the GTA and want to drop by my place in Pickering, I'd be delighted to show you what material your wallet or bag will be made from - just call for an appointment. I will also answer any questions via email about any fabric you are considering and can provide photos.

Yes — I can absolutely re‑purpose your fabric into the design of your custom item. Upcycling a well‑loved piece is a wonderful way to give it new life and keep it out of the landfill.

The type and condition of the fabric will determine where it can be used. Smaller pieces, like a tie, often make beautiful accent panels or interior features. Larger pieces — an unworn skirt, a favourite pair of jeans, or other meaningful textiles — can be incorporated inside or outside the design, depending on their durability.

When designing with your own fabric, you’re welcome to choose the hardware, accent colours, and overall theme to complement it. Or, if you prefer, you can leave the creative decisions to me once I understand your style and preferences.

You’ll be responsible for shipping or dropping off your fabric to my studio. If you’d like any unused material returned with your finished item, just let me know and I’ll include it.

Yes — you can absolutely have a bag or wallet featuring a photo of your pet. The only requirement is that the photo be clear, in focus, bright enough, and composed in a way that suits the item you’re ordering (for example, horizontal or vertical orientation).

Once I have your photo, I’ll arrange for custom fabric to be printed using your image. If you’d like guidance on choosing the best photo or want to confirm whether an image will work well, just reach out — I’m happy to help.
